Friday Wrap Up

We have a very productive week! We have worked on determining first person and third person point of view in our stories. When you are reading, think about who is telling the story. Is it a character from the book ( first person), or someone else not from the story (third person)?

Compare and Contrast

We are focusing on comparing and contrasting stories this week in reading. When we compare we look for how things are alike. When we contrast we look for how things are different.  As we read two passages or stories we may ask ourselves:
    * How does the setting of this story compare (similar) to the setting of the other story?
    * How does the theme of this story contrast (different) to the theme of the other story?

Friday Wrap Up

Today, we had our first Chinese lesson with Mrs. Ulza. The students really enjoyed the engaging activities that allowed them to say: "Hello" and "Goodbye". Ask your child about these.

Reading logs were passed out today and will be due next Friday. Don't forget to read and log for at least 80 minutes! Happy Reading and have a beautiful weekend! :)
